How do bands like The Devil Wears Prada get into Warped Tour?

Okay, so I know that if you're just a garage band that you do Battle Of The Bands on the Ernie Ball stage..but how does a band like The Devil Wears Prada, Attack Attack!, Asking Alexandria, and those others that have a record label get into Vans Warped Tour? Does the record company just submit their names in? or do they have to do the Battle Of The Bands process?|||No, Warped Tour has always had well known bands perform, they used to be well known for featuring punk and pop-punk acts like The Offspring, Bad Religion, NoFX, Blink 182, Rise Against etc but now it seems to have moved more towards metal and hardcore acts. Lame.|||Big, well-known bands don't have be in the Battle of the Bands. Some bands don't even have to contact Warped Tour. Sometimes, Kevin Lyman, creator of warped tour, actually calls and asks bands to take part in Warped Tour.

Some bands, like brokencyde contact the people who work for Warped Tour's lineup, and ask if they can join. Other times, bands are given a few dates to perform, and then people who work at Warped Tour see if the band can bring in kids, and can make a good profit out of Warped.

Most of the time, Warped Tour and record companies talk about bands, and who'll be on the lineup. Warped Tour also tries scoping out bands that can give them a good profit, which is why the scene on warped tour has changed from punk/pop-punk, to deathcore/metalcore/hardcore, with some occasional rap.
